Weston Boy Scout Troop 157

Nobscot Cabin Workday

October 20, 2001

Parents and boys will be working on repairs to the cabin at Nobscot Reservation in Sudbury.  A note from the organizers (Gary Wolf and D.J. Shah) and a fairly complete list of the projects to be done appears below the permission/waiver form.

Task List

The following list is being distributed so that everyone knows what we plan to do at the cabin on Saturday.  As you can see, there is more than enough to work on!  Based on my very rough calculations, if we were to accomplish everything on this list, we’d need as many as ten adults and nearly as many scouts!

Please review the list and consider what tasks you are best suited to leading, or on which you can assist.  DJ and I are obtaining the materials, which we will arrange to have at the site by Saturday morning.

A note on tools:  Last time several people brought their tool boxes along.  In some cases, these included cordless power tools (with fresh battery packs)!  (We may have a generator, in which case regular power tools will work—DJ is working on this.)  Key equipment this time includes the ladders.  Any tools, equipment and materials that need to go up to the cabin must be at Nobscot early enough for the Reservation’s truck to carry it up to the cabin.  Coordinate delivery time with DJ.

Thanks,

Gary
