Weston Boy Scout Troop 157

Nobscot Cabin Trip
December 8-9, 2001

We are headed to Nobscot for our annual outing at the troop's cabin.  The cabin was painted and improved in various ways on the workday on November 17.  We will meet on Saturday morning (12/8) at 8:00 am, and get back to Weston on Sunday (12/9) at about 11 am to Noon.  Boys will be driven to their homes.  The cabin is heated, but you need to bring a warm sleeping bag, anyway, as the temperature can go up and down depending on how well we tend the stove. Also, be sure to bring warm clothing (e.g., warm parka, hat, and gloves), and your sleeping pad. Some of us will be sleeping on bunks, but these only have wire springs, and you will need a sleeping pad to be comfortable. The rest of us will be on the floor, where a pad is also essential!  If our luck holds, we'll have snow, and can have our traditional Capture the Flag game in the snow, and usual snowball fights. The fee for the trip will be $15 to cover food.  We’ll likely have a group of Webelos scouts attending, as was the case last year.
