What counts as a tent night?

This varies for different achievements/requirements such as the National Outdoor Award, Camping merit badge and rank requirements.

To stay on track to earning the Eagle rank, a Scout should attend at least one summer camp and a minimum of 2 tent nights in each grade from 5th to 11th grade.
